I know it might sound odd, but I truly miss the metro in Paris. I can remember the smell and the sounds if I close my eyes. Even as a child I could feel a sense of culture while waiting for our next stop. When I close my eyes I can see and hear the scruffy musicians playing his accordion, while the beautiful women in the highest fashion drops a few euros in his hat. The well dressed old lady tries to fall asleep but the teenagers beside her are much too loud. It's our stop and I feel my dad pull on my hand to rush me out before pushy crowd. Someone bangs into me and I yell "I'm so sorry!" My dad told me not to apologize the same way we do in Canada but in Canada he tells me I have to apologies. That was very confusing for me. I miss Paris very much. If I could fit the metro in my bag I would!
